A clue to the true sound of Trapeze
Google is not digging up much information on Trapeze. Most of the pages I found on this enigmatic band are in Nordic languages. It’s fair to assume that it must be a metal band.
The “Running” cover takes a cue from Duchamp’s Nude Descending a Staircase. The body is seen at different points for a length of time. It is also influenced by a technique photographer Edward Muybridge developed for studying horses in motion.
Now if Muybridge only had access to fine models like this blonde he’d probably lock himself with her in the studio and forget about picture taking altogether. The girl in the picture looks like a rabid stripper. She is intense.
The black and white cover is from an auction I found on Ebay Italy. Yup, it’s a guitar band.

There was an English band that went by the name of Trapeze that inlcuded Glenn Hughes, later of Deep Purple (I believe Lineup Mark IV or V). They put out several albums.
Glenn is a good singer who later picked up the nickname “The Voice of Rock” during his Solo years following DP.
Most of the time spent with Deep Purple also included future WhiteSnake Vocalist, David Coverdale. They shared Vocals duties in DP.
